A Black Balsam Knob Styled Elopement Shoot
On a sunny, slightly warm with a cool breeze Wednesday evening, a group of amazing wedding professionals from both North Carolina and Missouri came together to put together a simple, oh-so-perfect elopement shoot. The short, beautiful hike between us all was full of laughter and all the getting-to-know-one-another questions, and the best part? The story of Brooklyn and Carter.
Brooklyn whispered and said they had been together for only just a month but already, she knew this was so very different. She knew without a doubt she was happier more now than she ever had been in the past. Once photos started, it was beyond clear that Carter feels the exact same way — every way he looks at her, reaches for her, holds her, it says so much without a single word. Verbally though, he definitely made it clear he adores her, and her freckled face.
Black Balsam Knob within The Blue Ridge Mountains was undoubtedly the perfect fit for everything we dreamed up — rolling mountains in our background, golden setting sun covering all the things and all of us, enough breeze to lift Brooklyn’s beautiful blonde hair, and the true look and feel of two people skipping off to vow forever in a remote, peaceful location. These moments we created felt every bit of like two secret vows being truly said between two people.
We ultimately chose two different locations along the hike for photos, and we literally shot right up until the sky had gone from light blue and bright yellow to dark pink and purple. We hiked down in the dark, laughed the entire way, prayed there were no bears, and knew we had not only slayed this shoot, but made some awesome new friends because of it!
