A Hiking Elopement at Stowe Pinnacle for Sunset

It was evident that Caitlin and Derek are SO smitten with each other from the moment Jenna met them over a beer to discuss photographing their elopement. The couple first met at a local Vermont BBQ restaurant and have been inseparable since.

Caitlin and Derek are both nature lovers, so it was only fitting that their elopement took place at Stowe Pinnacle. Vermont Spring weather can be a bit unpredictable, but the clouds broke during their hike to the top of the mountain and made for the perfect sunset ceremony. Caitlin and Derek both wrote their own vows. They read to one another with the wind (and Jenna) as a witness at the summit. In addition to being their photographer, Jenna was also their temporary officiant.  This elopement ultimately inspired her to become an official officiant for elopements in Vermont.  It was really such a cool, beautiful, awesome afternoon.
